class System.Text.EncoderExceptionFallbackBuffer

Assembly: System.Runtime

Inheritance: object → EncoderFallbackBuffer → EncoderExceptionFallbackBuffer

Throws <see cref="T:System.Text.EncoderFallbackException" /> when an input character cannot be converted to an encoded output byte sequence. This class cannot be inherited.

Properties

public int
Remaining
Gets the number of characters in the current <see cref="T:System.Text.EncoderExceptionFallbackBuffer" /> object that remain to be processed.

Methods

public bool
Fallback(char charUnknownHigh, char charUnknownLow, int index)
charUnknownHigh The high surrogate of the input pair.
charUnknownLow The low surrogate of the input pair.
index The index position of the surrogate pair in the input buffer.
Returns None. No value is returned because the <see cref="M:System.Text.EncoderExceptionFallbackBuffer.Fallback(System.Char,System.Char,System.Int32)" /> method always throws an exception.
Throws an exception because the input character cannot be encoded. Parameters specify the value and index position of the surrogate pair in the input, and the nominal return value is not used.
public bool
Fallback(char charUnknown, int index)
charUnknown An input character.
index The index position of the character in the input buffer.
Returns None. No value is returned because the <see cref="M:System.Text.EncoderExceptionFallbackBuffer.Fallback(System.Char,System.Int32)" /> method always throws an exception.
Throws an exception because the input character cannot be encoded. Parameters specify the value and index position of the character that cannot be converted.
public char
GetNextChar()
Returns The return value is always the Unicode character, NULL (U+0000). A return value is defined, although it is unchanging, because this method implements an abstract method.
Retrieves the next character in the exception fallback buffer.
public bool
MovePrevious()
Returns The return value is always <see langword="false" /> . A return value is defined, although it is unchanging, because this method implements an abstract method.
Causes the next call to the <see cref="M:System.Text.EncoderExceptionFallbackBuffer.GetNextChar" /> method to access the exception data buffer character position that is prior to the current position.
public void
Reset()
Inherited from EncoderFallbackBuffer
Initializes all data and state information pertaining to this fallback buffer.
public bool
Equals(object obj)
Inherited from object
obj The object to compare with the current object.
Returns <see langword="true" /> if the specified object is equal to the current object; otherwise, <see langword="false" /> .
Determines whether the specified object is equal to the current object.
protected void
Finalize()
Inherited from object
Allows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection.
public int
GetHashCode()
Inherited from object
Returns A hash code for the current object.
Serves as the default hash function.
public Type
GetType()
Inherited from object
Returns The exact runtime type of the current instance.
Gets the <see cref="T:System.Type" /> of the current instance.
protected object
MemberwiseClone()
Inherited from object
Returns A shallow copy of the current <see cref="T:System.Object" /> .
Creates a shallow copy of the current <see cref="T:System.Object" /> .
public string
ToString()
Inherited from object
Returns A string that represents the current object.
Returns a string that represents the current object.
